"...Go quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame."
-Luke 24:21
Our Vision
To meet the spiritual needs of the families affected by disability and to demonstrate Christ's love through meeting practical needs by strengthening the existing relationship between the person with a disability, their family, and the Westgate Chapel congregation.
Who does BREATHE serve?
We serve children within the church who are affected by disability.
Who or what is a buddy?
A Buddy can be anyone with or without experience. Buddies undergo training before being paired with a child affected by disability.
A buddy is anyone with a heart to serve God and a heart to serve families affected by disability.
What does BREATHE provide?
We provide a one-on-one buddy with the child affected by disability, to support them in the church and to show them the love of Jesus Christ.
When will buddies be provided?
Buddies will be provided at the 10:30am services on Sunday, as long as kids' programming is available.
Why do we offer BREATH?
In Luke 14, we are commanded to "...bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame."
These are the people who tend to be unreached with the gospel.
And in Luke 14, we are told to "...go and make HIS house full."
