missions emphasis week - oct 4-11, 2026

Oct 4, 2026 at 12:00am

It takes all of us, ON MISSION TOGETHER, equipped and empowered to offer the hope of Jesus to a fractured world.

In the family of God, everyone has a part to play. We are all called and empowered to bring the hope of Jesus to all people. Just as the Spirit unified the first Christ followers, He is doing the same among us today. We are one body, filled with one Spirit, given one mission, with one hope: Jesus. Every calling, every story, every life with the purpose of propelling God’s Kingdom forward; it takes all of us—On Mission Together.

This is why The Alliance exists.

Westgate Chapel's Missions Emphasis Week 2026 is our chance to hear the stories of God's work through our international workers in Germany and Teahouse. Let's gather together with a front row seat to what God is doing all throughout the world!

W+E TEAHOUSE*, CENTRAL ASIA

W+E are international workers sent from their Central Asian country to serve in a nearby country, referred to as Teahouse. They have been working in community development for the last 15 years, as well as connecting with small fellowships of local believers there. Despite persecution and other obstacles, W +E have seen God at work in some pretty amazing ways!

*Creative Access Country, no livestream 10/4

Sean McLain WAREN, GERMANY

Sean and Suzy McLain, after serving for eight years in Alliance churches in New Jersey, joined the church planting team in Waren, northeast Germany in January of 2022. They have two kids, Ian (10) and Maisie (7). The focus of their ministry in Germany has been helping to establish Internationale Gemeinde Waren (the International Church of Waren), a German-language church focused on reaching those who have cultural and spiritual openness. In their first term, they saw this young church grow from a living room meeting with a few families to a church of 40-50 people gathering in their own church space every week. In addition to working with the church, the McLains and their team seek to cultivate a meaningful impactful presence in the community largely through teaching English as a second language. They do this through offering English classes, conversation, and camps.
