God’s Word reminds us that He loves a cheerful giver. That’s why we strive to create opportunities to give freely, joyfully, and without obligation. Your faithful generosity is making an eternal difference, helping people around the world hear the life-giving message of Jesus.

Financial giving is one of the ways we grow Deep Roots in our faith and create a Broad Reach for the Gospel to our neighbors and nations. Through tithes and offerings, we worship God, trust Him with what He has provided, and participate in the ministry He is doing through the church and beyond.

Scripture teaches that the tithe, the first 10% of our income, is an act of worship and obedience to the Lord. Gifts given beyond the tithe are offerings that help extend the reach of ministry into our community and around the world.

God loves a cheerful giver, so we desire giving to always flow from a willing and grateful heart, never from pressure or obligation, but as a response to His faithfulness and generosity. Every gift helps strengthen discipleship, support ministry, and create opportunities for more people to say YES to a relationship with Jesus.

How does Westgate Chapel uphold financial accountability?

Westgate Chapel is committed to honoring the resources God provides through generous people like you by practicing wise stewardship, ethical business practices, and financial accountability to maximize kingdom impact while remaining above reproach. We accomplish this through a system of internal controls and an internal budgeting and reporting process.

  • An annual audit or review is performed by an independent certified public accounting firm.

  • Anyone may request a copy of Westgate Chapel’s most recently audited financial statements. Contact us at finance@westgatechapel.org or call 419-841-8077 x1002 to ask general questions about our financial practices.

Where can I access my giving and contribution history?

Login to your Tithe.ly account through our website or app for year-to-date giving records. Westgate Chapel will send out year end giving statements every January.

How can I make non-cash donations?

  • Donor Advised Funds: If you would like to donate from your Donor Advised Fund (DAF), please ask your DAF representative to mail your donation to Westgate Chapel's main campus at 2500 Wilford Dr. Toledo, OH 43615. Also, have your DAF representative include your name and designation with the donation.

  • Retirement Accounts: If you are 70½ or older, you can give a portion of your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) directly to Westgate Chapel as a Qualified Charitable Deduction (QCD). Your QCD donation will not be taxed when it is sent directly to a charity. To learn more about this opportunity, please contact us at contributions@westgatechapel.org or call 419-841-8077 x1002
